Two Little Fishermen

On a family mission to Canadian Tire to buy a cooler we ended up leaving the store with not only a sweet new cooler for our picnic but two new fishing rods for two excited little fisherman. 

Off to Johnson Lake to catch some fish...

That was hard work, time to relax...

Little Taste of Summer (in Spring)

One day it's snowing and the next it's 27 degrees and sunny!  We had a week of straight hot sun last week and we soaked up almost every day of it at the beach...

The boys were busy digging and building....

And testing the waters...(burr!)

 After a long winter it felt like a much needed taste of summer living...it's gonna be a good one!

The Tee Pee

This was a pinterest dream of mine for quite some time before I actually got the boost of determination to do it.  It took two double sheets from the thrift store, 5 dowels from the hardware store, some fabric I already had and a bit of t.v. watching from the boys to complete this project.

Probably one of the most fun things I've ever made.  A place to hang out, read books, cuddle and play make believe.  

This is my reward...

...oh and forgot to mention that it's also a place to eat cookies too.

Nana's Birthday

A little late on my timing for my mom's birthday but since now it's Mother's day I thought this would be the next best time to post it.

Back in April we had some special visitors passing through town in their new RV.  It's not everyday that Nana and Papa just pop by for dinner and with Nana's birthday being just around the corner (was April 29th)  we had some celebrating to do!

So we put our party hats on and had a lovely dinner...

Then headed out to do some more celebrating in the RV...

With ice-cream cake too!

This Was March...

Ok, I'm back from my little hiatus and I have lots to share...a couple months worth in fact, has it really been that long?  I guess you can say I've been busy.  Between work, trying to sell our house, kids (and everything else) life has left me little time to blog!  

But I'm here now to get all caught up!

This was March....

It began and ended with family which was so great.  The in-between is now a haze...all I remember is having two sick kids with the flu (one right after the other) I'll spare you the details...

The highlight of my parents visit was taking the boys down hill skiing for the first time.  They had so much fun.  Casey's quote was "yeah baby!" as he skied down the hill.

At the end of the month there was a big 90th birthday celebration for Rob's Grandma.  His whole family met in Winnipeg for a big surprise Scottish themed birthday bash.  There were bagpipes, highland dancers, a lovely dinner and a good time had by all (especially the birthday girl!).

The next day was Easter...

The boys were so excited for eggs!  (They're actually still talking about easter eggs to this day!)

They had an easter egg hunt with their cousin Molly going from our hotel room to Grandpa and Nona's room.
