Early Bird Back to Sleep

This morning Casey was up and at 'em at 6am.  I sure wasn't ready to wake up and play like he wanted, so to buy me some time I said "go colour mommy and daddy a picture" a few minutes later he came back with a drawing, my next time buyer was to go build blocks, and daddy suggested playing with his cars...

An hour and half or so later Liam comes into our room and we're all waking up but Casey was fast asleep in the play room on the bean bag chair....and stayed sleeping til almost 10 in the morning!

Enjoy your weekend sleep in!

Weekend Gardening

It was a productive weekend of gardening thanks to two little hard working helpers!

It took a couple trips to the greenhouse ....

Turning our van into a garden of its own...

Then set to work...

And what better way to garden on a nice sunny day than in your undies...

Job well done ...

Unfortunately I don't have a before picture but this space under the stairs used to be a big pile of boulders...and now ...

Next will be our vegetable garden!

Happy gardening!

Cupcake Friday

Every Friday at the communitea cafe they make these amazing cupcakes.  What better way to celebrate a Friday?

I had to be quick to take this picture! Seconds later they were devoured!

Have a great weekend!

Tea party

I had such an enjoyable morning with my two favourite twin boys.  We took Jack for a walk along the creek picking dandelions along the way and ended up at the communitea cafe for a little tea party.  I asked for some tea cups for the boys juice and I enjoyed my latte.

So, so much fun!

P.s. Casey asked for short hair like Liam today!  I'm giving it a few days to see if he changes his mind....:)

Enjoy the sun!

May the force be with you

These helmets appeared at our doorstep yesterday and I was able to convince the boys into wearing them for a quick photo shoot.  :)

Our neighbours next door are moving so a few other trucks and things made their way over as well.

Hope everyone enjoys the long weekend!

Liam's New Do

So Liam made up his mind one day that he wanted his hair cut short.  I waited a few days and then he asked again.  So I got the scissors out and went to town...

The Before

I got it to this length and he still wanted it shorter so I thought it would be best that I hand him over to a professional...

Introducing a whole new Liam!

Can you tell them apart now??

Missing his long hair a little but Casey say's he wants to keep his long…for now!

Mama's Day

My Mother's Day was extra special.  I was showered with gifts and love, went out for a yummy breakfast and to top it off I got to meet Momo!

On Monday the preschool had a Mother's Day tea party which was so sweet.  The boys made me beautiful heart bracelets and a jewellery box and the class preformed a few songs for us and then we all enjoyed some tea and blueberry cake that the kids had made.

Momo and his buddy Andrew stopped in Canmore that day on their book tour and we happened to see them a little earlier than expected at the cafe where we were having breakfast.

A neat thing Andrew does on his book tour is he takes a picture of Momo hiding in your town and hides a red envelope containing a free book voucher in the same spot.  Guess who found the red envelope?!

Such a lucky Mom I am to have these two super-fun little guys and one amazing husband to share them with.

From April…Forgot to post this from a month ago..

The boys have been battling a cold but still not slowing down too much other than the odd sleep in.  I just couldn't resist snapping this sweet slumber.  I don't know the last time Liam's ever slept in till 10am!

We've been loving the warmer weather and watching the snow melt.  One of Liam's very favourite things to do right now is to go to the bike park (skate board park) to do some tricks.

And there's nothing like bringing on the warm weather than to climb a tree

But the thing I'm probably most excited about is getting to work on the garden.  Rob scored a free wheelbarrow from a garage sale last weekend so the boys and I have been moving rocks and digging up a vegetable garden.

And look at this little cutie in his new hat...I've already started the next one.
