My Two Little Helpers

With only ten more days until the wedding, I need all the extra help I can get around here.  Good thing I have my two handy dandy little guys to help me out with the all the household chores.  They're great to have in the kitchen because they can get things from the fridge for me and can even reach way up high to the top shelf...

And as soon as they see that dishwasher door down, they're always right there to help me load it up...

And there's never a shortage of laundry around here, so they help with that too...

Yep, these boys sure are a handful...I mean, helpful! 

The grandparents are arriving this week because I'm sure a few more extra hands won't hurt. :)

Replacement Rob Part II

Chloe and I and the boys had the most fun day last weekend.  Rob was away on a rafting trip with his buddies, therefore it was "Replacement Rob's" turn to fill in again.  So on Saturday, we treated ourselves to a lovely breakfast at the Summit Cafe, followed by a nice little hike in the woods.

As we stopped about every ten feet to snap another photo of a flower or tree, Chloe made a comment about how nice it was to go for a hike with someone who enjoyed taking pictures as much as she did.  I agreed.

Step By Step

The boys have reached another milestone. They're learning to walk with their own two feet. Those first little steps are so very exciting.  Liam took his on the eve of his birthday and Casey just one week later.  It's so cute to watch those wabbly little legs go. 

I couldn't be more proud of my two little walkers.

Fun Day With Friends

Last week, our friends Manny, Elaine and Cody came out (from Calgary) to spend the day in the mountains...and what a day it was; the warmest we've had so far.

We spent the afternoon at the park down the street until Rob got home from work.  Then we made our way down to River Side Park where we met up with a few other friends.  Some of us played a few rounds of crocket, others preformed balancing acts on the slack line and the babies explored the grassy ground. 

It was a fun day with a great group of friends.

One on One

The other day while Liam and Daddy were having a little snooze, Casey and I decided to go have some fun at the park.  After all, it was such a nice day and we just weren't tired (or at least Casey wasn't). 

I do charish spending those rare one-on-one times with the boys.

The Party

Busy times these days with a wedding coming up in a couple weeks, but I have finally found a chance to share with you some special moments from the boys birthday party last week...

It was a really fun BBQ with lots of good friends to celebrate our little guys turning one.  

Happy Father's Day!

It's Rob's second Father's Day.  The boys came just in time last year...however, we couldn't give him a proper celebration since we were still in the hospital.  But still, what better gift on Father's day than to be able to hold your two new born baby boys?

This year we celebrated by packing up a picnic lunch and biking to a beautiful spot half way between Canmore and Banff. 

It was quite the journey (about 30 k's round trip).  I was thankful that Rob was carrying the extra weight instead of me...I wouldn't have made it.

Thankfully the way back to Canmore was all down hill, so we got to take it easy and enjoy the ride.  The Canmore Artspeak Festival is going on this weekend, so we stopped for a break to check out the music and festivities before making our way home.

Happy Father's Day to the most amazing Father of twins!  I couldn't do it without you!

Happy Birthday Casey & Liam!

My babies were born on this night last year.  Casey was a mere 4 and half pounds and Liam just under 5.  It was love at first (and second) sight.  I've never really thought about a birthday before as I have this one.  It was always just about having a party and eating cake... until today, looking back on my experience of the birth of my babies.  For me today is about so much more.  It's the day I became a Mother and brought these two beautiful boys into this world.  It's the best day ever.
