Mama's Day

My Mother's Day was extra special.  I was showered with gifts and love, went out for a yummy breakfast and to top it off I got to meet Momo!

On Monday the preschool had a Mother's Day tea party which was so sweet.  The boys made me beautiful heart bracelets and a jewellery box and the class preformed a few songs for us and then we all enjoyed some tea and blueberry cake that the kids had made.

Momo and his buddy Andrew stopped in Canmore that day on their book tour and we happened to see them a little earlier than expected at the cafe where we were having breakfast.

A neat thing Andrew does on his book tour is he takes a picture of Momo hiding in your town and hides a red envelope containing a free book voucher in the same spot.  Guess who found the red envelope?!

Such a lucky Mom I am to have these two super-fun little guys and one amazing husband to share them with.

From April…Forgot to post this from a month ago..

The boys have been battling a cold but still not slowing down too much other than the odd sleep in.  I just couldn't resist snapping this sweet slumber.  I don't know the last time Liam's ever slept in till 10am!

We've been loving the warmer weather and watching the snow melt.  One of Liam's very favourite things to do right now is to go to the bike park (skate board park) to do some tricks.

And there's nothing like bringing on the warm weather than to climb a tree

But the thing I'm probably most excited about is getting to work on the garden.  Rob scored a free wheelbarrow from a garage sale last weekend so the boys and I have been moving rocks and digging up a vegetable garden.

And look at this little cutie in his new hat...I've already started the next one.

This and That

So here's what we've been up to lately…

Playing games like our new bingo game or hide and seek...

Tea parties with left over valentines chocolates…how is that even possible?

looming and weaving...

Casey helping me hammer nails into an old picture frame to make the loom
The weaving was intended for the boys but ended up keeping my interest a lot longer than theirs…

Pipe cleaner glasses were more up their alley...

Did you know when you wear them they light up and you can see under ground?  True storey.

I had to see for myself.

Learning how to crochet thanks to my friend Chelsey.  Here's Casey's (favourite colour) pink hat I'm working on…

And exploring our surroundings and enjoying the fresh snow but warmer weather...

Hope everyone is enjoying the first signs of spring out there!

All the best,
Lindsay

Happy Spring

Spring was here…and now it seems to be getting chilli again but that's to be expected when you live in the mountains (or Canada to be exact).

This is how we enjoyed a little sunshine last week...

I'm Back

Hello Again,

It has been nearly a year since I last wrote a blog post and it feels good to be back here.  Since my last post in May we have moved to a new house in Canmore which we've been loving.  It's located down town walking distance to grocery stores (and just about anywhere), we have trails and a beautiful creek right behind our house and best of all we have a backyard to play in!

I just recently set up a new office/sewing space in our bedroom which has inspired me to get back into blogging.  When I feel the need to sew I just slide the computer out of the way and move in my machine.  It has lovely big windows and a view of the mountains…

The desktop photo on my computer is from our recent trip to California to visit Grandpa & Nonna.  We spent a week in Palm Springs and took a few day trips out to Joshua Tree (A place Rob and I used to climb at back in our road-tripping-climbing-bum days).  It was an amazing trip and I have a gazillion photos, some of which you can take a look at here.

I hope to share more about our new home and whats happening around here more.

Have a most lovely day,

Lindsay
